Ever boot up a mystery floppy and get barbarian battles, drinking contests, and button-mashing mayhem? Yeah… me neither—until now.
In this episode of What’s on That Floppy?, I load up a lost Commodore 64 disk packed with strange games from the golden age of 5¼" chaos. First up? Blood & Guts—a brutal barbarian brawl with weird mini-events like tug-of-war, boulder rolling, and a hilarious arm-wrestling fail that ends with a bird pooping on my head. Classic.
Then it's onto Battle of the Bulge, a surprisingly deep real-time strategy game from 1985. Can I figure out what’s going on? Absolutely not—but it's a wild ride anyway. From there we fire up Black Thunder, glitch through some PAL issues, and wrap it up with Knucklebuster—a button masher that nearly broke me.
So if you’re into C64 deep cuts, forgotten floppies, and unpredictable retro weirdness… this one’s for you.
🕹️ Let me know in the comments if you ever played these—or what bizarre C64 game I should load up next!
