What’s on That Floppy? | Dan Dare, Vikings, Archon & More! 🕹️

Hey, it’s Tom from Texas, and it’s time for another Floppy Deep Dive! This time I popped in an old C64 floppy and discovered some real surprises—some fun, some frustrating, and one that straight-up spun me in circles.

We kick off with Dan Dare: Pilot of the Future, a comic-style game that’s way better than I remembered (once I figured out you can actually fight). Then it’s Vikings, a flickery PAL Commando clone with attitude, and Space Doubt, which... well, let’s just say it left me confused in more ways than one.

Flip the disk and we get the classic Archon, the baffling Death or Glory, the obscure Drago, and the shoot-em-up SWAT. Some of these I’ve never seen before—and maybe you haven’t either.

No script, no prep—just me hanging out, playing what’s on the floppy, and reacting in real-time. So grab your joystick and let me know in the comments:
